Overview
The United Arab Emirates government, through the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) and the Ministry of Finance, has announced the phased implementation of E-Invoicing (Digital Tax Invoicing) in line with international standards, beginning July 2026. The UAE has adopted a Peppol-based five-corner model, leveraging the PINT-AE (Peppol International Invoice – UAE version) standard for structured electronic invoice exchange.
It is essential that your current ERP system (such as SAP ECC or S/4HANA- public and private edition) can generate and exchange PINT-AE compliant invoices. These invoices must be submitted through an Accredited Service Providers (ASPs) and validated electronically before being shared with customers or reported to the FTA.
